As a part of its ongoing disposal of non-core assets, Finnair, an air carrier based in Finland, has agreed to sell its Finnish business travel agency SMT Oy to American Express Global Business Travel (GBT).

GBT, a provider of charge and credit payment card products and travel-related services in the Netherlands, will strengthen its services to European and global customers through the acquisition.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2016.

Bangkok Airways, based in Thailand, and Austria’s flag carrier, Austrian Airline have entered a code-share agreement, which will enable the latter’s passengers to travel to world-class destinations in Thailand and Cambodia.

Subsequent to the agreement, Austrian Airlines’ passengers can directly book new destinations in Thailand such as Phuket, Krabi, Ko Samui Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai and Trat, and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
