The solution will assist EANS with its AIM installation project, thereby facilitating further steps in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) aeronautical information services (AIS) to AIM roadmap, including digital notice to airmen (NOTAM).

EANS has been operating the German experts Comsoft Solutions aeronautical data access system (CADAS) AIM solution since 2009.

“The solution will assist EANS with its AIM installation project, thereby facilitating further steps in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) aeronautical information services (AIS) to AIM roadmap."

The upgrade project will see the integration of four important components over the next 18 months, including data origination, enhanced geographic information system (GIS), workflow management, and digital NOTAM capabilities.

Following the integration of CADAS-AIMDB, the latest version of Comsoft’s aeronautical information exchange model (AIXM) 5.1 database, EANS will benefit from improved AIXM 5.1 data management capabilities in line with smartWFM workflow management sub-system from Austrian company Frequentis.

The workflow management system will allow EANS to deploy integrated AIM workflows that comply with its quality management system, as well as aeronautical data quality (ADQ) regulations.

The new AIXM 5.1 data management will provide dynamic data using the digital NOTAM concept, while the SWIM-ready interfaces will facilitate digital Aeronautical data exchange of data in the AIXM 5.1 format.

EANS provides air navigation services for domestic and international air traffic in the Tallinn flight information region, which covers the airspace over Estonian territory and adjacent areas over high seas.
