Comsoft Solutions has upgraded its aeronautical message handling system (AMHS) for Letové prevádzkové služby (LPS), the air navigation services provider (ANSP) of Slovak Republic.
The modernisation of Comsoft’s AMHS product, aeronautical integrated data exchange agent – next generation (AIDA-NG), will help improve the reliability, performance and functionality of the Slovakian ANSP.
The AIDA-NG system offers fully integrated, uniform message-handling facilities, which is key for the future of air traffic management.
Deployed in Bratislava, the message handling system includes one operational system and one contingency system, as well as a test and training support system with the same configuration.
The automatic switchover from operational system to contingency offers maximum reliability and safety with system and site redundancy.
Since 2010, flight movements in Slovakia have increased by more than 20%.
LPS reported more than 470,000 flight movements last year.
The AMHS upgrade will help increase the capacity of the Slovakian airspace, thereby minimising flight delays and maintaining required safety levels.
Comsoft’s AIDA-NG system helps deliver fully integrated message processing in one single application for all types of aeronautical messages, such as AMHS and aeronautical fixed telecommunication network (AFTN) / common ICAO data interchange network (CIDIN) communications.
