Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) has secured an order for 30 C919 aircraft from China Bank of Communications’ leasing arm.

Comac says the C919 will enter the final design-definition phase before the end of 2011 and type certification is expected by 2016, followed by first delivery.

Detailed design will be completed in 2012 and the first flight is expected by 2014.

Comac expects to produce 150 C919 jets a year by 2020.
