Japan Airlines said that it opted to extend the partnership due to the customer support and parts solutions services it has been receiving from Boeing over the years.

Last year, Boeing raised its inventory by 35,000 parts and reduced prices on 24,000 parts.

The company also almost doubled stocked parts for aircraft, which are no longer being produced.

With a fleet of 279 aircraft, Japan Airlines currently operates scheduled and non-scheduled international and domestic passenger and cargo services to 220 destinations in 35 countries.
