Japan-based carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has expanded its code-share agreement with LOT Polish Airlines (LOT), including a number of domestic Japanese routes operated by ANA.
Scheduled to be implemented from 1 December, ANA passengers will be able to fly using LOT flight numbers between destinations in Europe, in addition to Warsaw, Poland.
The deal also includes various regions of Japan, such as Sapporo, Sendai and Fukuoka.
As part of the current code-share deal between ANA and LOT, passengers can fly using an ANA flight number on connecting flights from cities in Europe served by ANA to Warsaw.
With the newly expanded deal, both carriers seek to offer a wider choice and better convenience to their customers.
Operating Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes for all of its long-haul routes, ANA currently serves around five million passengers in a year. The largest airline in Japan by revenues and passenger numbers, the company serves 84 international routes and 119 domestic routes.
