Russian flag carrier Aeroflot has received a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the fifth of 16 aircraft on order, and the airline’s fifth full-specification Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100).

Both aircraft have been delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturers.

Configured in a three-class arrangement, Aeroflot’s 777-300ER can accommodate up to 550 passengers, and includes a variety of attractive features such as increased leg room, an upgraded on-board menu, additional baggage room and more Aeroflot Bonus reward miles.

It has been designed to provide improved fuel efficiency, a spacious cabin, an extended range and high-reliability. It will provide services on routes to Sochi, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Phuket.

The aircraft also features Boeing’s Signature Interior and Airplane Health Management system.

Developed and produced by Sukhoi Company in collaboration with Alenia Aeronautica, the SSJ-100 is a next-generation regional jet.

It has been transferred to Aeroflot under a financial lease from VEB Leasing, and has capacity to accommodate 87 passengers in a two-class configuration.

The addition of these two new jets is part of the airline’s strategy to expand its route network, while renewing and expanding its fleet in order to provide enhanced flight reliability.

On 20 January, Aeroflot took delivery of its fourth Boeing B737-800 Next Generation aircraft and its 91st Airbus A320 aircraft.

Aeroflot’s fleet currently comprises 140 aircraft, including Airbus A320-family, A330, Boeing B777 and Sukhoi SuperJet-100 jets.
