Abu Dhabi Airports’ Free Zone (ADAFZ) has issued its 200th trade licence to NATS, a UK-based air traffic control services provider.
As well as providing services to 14 UK airports, NATS is looking to extend its operations in the Middle East.
NATS Middle East director Ben Kiff said: “By positioning us nearer to our customers, our operations in ADAFZ will allow us to better serve those we are already working with, as well as those we hope to work with in the future, as Abu Dhabi expands and develops its aerospace ecosystem."
ADAFZ offers warehousing and fully serviced office solutions to various business sectors including aviation, aerospace and logistics.
Its jurisdiction spreads across more than 10.6km² around Abu Dhabi International Airport, covering Logistics Park, Business Park, Destination Village, Al Falah Free Zone and the Airport City, alongside its premises at Al Ain International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport.
ADAFZ and Business City acting senior vice-president Adel Al Taheri said: “ADAFZ is able to offer its business partners a range of benefits, including a 100% duty and tax exemption, foreign ownership, and repatriation of capital and profits, amongst others.
