An ACT Airlines cargo plane has crashed into a village in Kyrgyzstan, killing all four crew members and 33 civilians on the ground.
Flying from Hong Kong to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the crashed Boeing 747-400 freighter was about to land at Bishkek-Manas Airport.
Around 15 buildings were damaged and several children died in the crash, reported BBC.
ACT Airlines said in a statement: “Due to the fact that the aircraft crashed into the edge of a residential area, 33 civil people passed away along with our four crew members, according to the first information we received.”
The airline also noted that the freighter was found to be in good condition during its routine pre-flight check-up, and the flight did not even show any anomalies.
ACT Airlines added: “There is no clear and confirmed information about the reasons for the incident yet.

Both Kyrgyz and Turkish Ministries of Transport and Communication, along with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, have already started investigating the incident.
However, bad weather and errors made by crew are considered possible causes behind the accident, reported CNN.
