Red Sea Global, the developer behind the regenerative tourism destinations ‘The Red Sea’ and AMAALA, has announced an aviation partnership with Jetex, a Dubai-based aviation services provider.

The collaboration will see Jetex take charge of the private jet terminal operations at Red Sea International Airport (RSI) in Hanal, Saudi Arabia.

The partnership was formalised through an agreement between Jetex and daa International (daai), the operator of RSI. This move is set to enhance luxury aviation services on Saudi Arabia’s western coast.

RSI’s main terminal is scheduled to open fully next year and includes five ‘mini terminals’ designed as a series of pods, with one dedicated to private aviation and operated exclusively by Jetex.

Jetex was chosen as the fixed base operator of RSI after a competitive tender process. Under the agreement, Jetex will fit out and manage the private aviation terminal.

The services at the terminal will encompass private jet handling, concierge services, and luxury electric airport transfers, aligning with the destination’s sustainability goals.

Jetex founder and CEO Adel Mardini said: “Jetex is excited to embark on its first major venture in Saudi Arabia through the innovative Red Sea International Airport, a pioneering project in sustainable tourism.

“In collaboration with both daa International and Red Sea Global, we aim to transform the airport into a top-tier destination that resonates with the most discerning international and domestic travellers.”

Jetex has expertise in private terminal operations, aircraft fuelling, and ground handling.

The Red Sea development has already begun welcoming guests, with four hotels operational and Desert Rock set to receive visitors later this month.

In 2022, Jetex partnered with Germany’s Berlin Neuhardenberg Airport to develop an executive aviation terminal and fixed base operation.
