Jacobs Engineering Group has signed an agreement to deliver construction, maintenance and refurbishment work for buildings and infrastructure at East Midlands Airport in the UK.
Works under the agreement signed with Manchester Airport Group (MAG) will include ongoing expansion projects to increase the airport’s capacity.
Jacobs will be responsible for project management, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for the airport’s buildings, as well as associated infrastructure.
The initial framework agreement with MAG is set to run until 2020, with an option to extend it to 2025.
Jacobs Buildings & Infrastructure and Industrial president Bob Pragada said: “In alignment with our vision of creating a more connected world, we are leveraging our airside aviation construction knowledge to help enhance the experience travellers will have while visiting East Midlands Airport.
“Jacobs will support Manchester Airport Group through an integrated project delivery approach led by our knowledgeable project management and construction experts, along with a right-sized supply chain management approach.”
