Information technology company IBM has agreed to provide its public Cloud solution for Greece flag carrier airline AEGEAN.
This multi-year agreement will help the carrier strengthen its internal business processes and deliver an improved customer experience.

The adoption of IBM public Cloud is part of the airline’s digital transformation strategy. The carrier, along with its subsidiary Olympic Air, has already invested in disruptive technologies, including cloud and artificial intelligence (AI).
IBM Greece and Cyprus general manager Spyros Poulidas said: “Our clients are turning to the Cloud-to-drive innovation while maintaining high-security standards. AEGEAN will tap the industry expertise of IBM Services to use Watson on IBM public Cloud in order to differentiate their customer experience and lead the way into a new era of digital transformation.”
With the latest agreement, AEGEAN will infuse AI into its business model. It will use IBM Watson Studio and IBM Watson Machine Learning solutions.
These solutions, including advanced business analytics capabilities, will allow the airline to improve operational efficiencies and support company growth.
