Simon Geere, CEO at Farnborough said: “We are delighted to be partnering with BMW to elevate the travel experience at Farnborough Airport.

“The collaboration with BMW and the showcase of their all-electric i7 not only reflects our dedication to providing a unique guest experience, but it also highlights our commitment to innovation.”

BMW said that as part of the experience, which will also see the i7 displayed at the airport terminal, the company looked forward to hearing feedback from Farnborough passengers about the vehicle.

Despite being the busiest private jet airfield in the UK, Farnborough has sought to position itself as a sustainability focussed airport through actions such as installing solar panels across its site and hosting the end of the first transatlantic flight using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
