UAE-based air services provider dnata has been selected by German airline Lufthansa Group to handle its new Frankfurt flight at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, US.

The partnership means dnata will offer ramp, secure clean and passenger handling services to Lufthansa.

Using its Airbus A330-300 aircraft, Lufthansa’s operates the new Frankfurt flight five times a week at the airport.

dnata’s professionally trained staff will aim to provide a seamless travel experience for approximately 70,000 passengers per year.

With its team of 75 aviation professionals, dnata provides air services for three airlines, including Lufthansa, in Texas.

So far, dnata has invested $45m in equipment, facilities, technology, and training since 2016, expanding its operations in the US.

The latest contract will see dnata providing services to the German group, including Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines and Edelweiss Air, at a total of eight airports in the US.
