Singapore-based firm ST Aerospace has agreed to provide component maintenance-by-the-hour (MBH) support for Gulf Air’s new fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft for 15 years.
The contractual scope includes component exchange, repair, modification, overhaul, reliability monitoring, and logistics services.
The MBH programme will provide the customer airlines with a range of services with low operating costs.
The Boeing Company has finalised a $11bn contract with Irish aircraft leasing company Avolon to supply 75 737 MAX narrow-body aircraft.
The order includes 55 MAX 8 and 20 MAX 10, as well as options for 20 additional MAX 8s.
The deal is expected to strengthen Avolon’s presence in the global commercial aviation market.

Pan-European IT services provider SCISYS has won a contract to provide the network management simulator for Pearls constellation of nanosatellites, developed by Sky and Space Global (UK) Limited.
The Pearls Constellation Simulator (PearlSim) is scheduled to be delivered in November 2018.
Airbus has secured a contract to provide cabin retrofit services for Singapore Airlines’ A380 aircraft fleet.
The contractor will retrofit cabins of 14 A380 aircraft with new cabin parts at SIA Engineering Company in Singapore.
The retrofit work is expected to commence in late-next year and continue through 2020.
