Qatar Airways has placed a $6.35bn firm order with Airbus to purchase up to 50 A321neo aircraft with Airbus Cabin Flex configuration.

The new order replaces the previous order placed by the carrier in 2011 for 50 A320neo aircraft.

Scheduled to be delivered from 2019, the aircraft will support the carrier’s growth and expansion.

Sierra Nevada Corporation has selected Azur Space Solar Power’s 3G30C-Advanced solar cells for the Dream Chaser spacecraft programme.

Azur Space will build the high-efficiency solar panels at its manufacturing plants in Heilbronn, Germany.

The Dream Chaser space vehicle is designed to provide cargo resupply to and from the International Space Station.
