Airbus has entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emirates Airline to deliver 36 A380 aircraft.

The value of the deal is estimated to be approximately $16bn.

Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in 2020.

“Under the contract, Safran will be responsible to offer maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services according to the operator’s schedule.”

Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has agreed to buy 15 ATR-600 aircraft from ATR for an undisclosed sum.

The contract will include the delivery of 12 ATR 42-600 and three ATR 72-600 aircraft to NAC. The aircraft are expected to replace the Saab 340B turboprop aircraft of Silver Airways.

Deliveries are scheduled to conclude by the first quarter of 2020.
