Indian commuter airline Star Air has selected Collins Aerospace’s ARINC PaxLink passenger service system to streamline several passenger processing systems.

The single, integrated Cloud-based system will enable the carrier to better manage reservations, inventory, distribution and departure control.

According to Collins Aerospace, airlines can select several modules to develop a customised solution using PaxLink. This will help them streamline passenger check-in, boarding, flight load planning, online reservation sales, inventory management and distribution via online travel agencies (OTA).

PaxLink kiosk integration and digital check-in also reduce queues and the need to visit check-in desks.

Collins Aerospace commercial aviation and network services general manager Clotilde Enel’Rehel said: “As we see more airlines modernise with digital transformations, PaxLink is a key solution in helping airlines to better manage its broad array of passenger service needs through one interface.

“By integrating connectivity, Star Air can more efficiently manage its growing passenger base at a lower cost with the highest reliability.”
