Cathay Pacific Airways has unveiled its newest lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, designed to allow passengers to relax before catching their flight.
The new lounge called The Deck is located adjacent to gate 16 in Terminal 1. It will open for passengers on 22 March.
Cathay Pacific chief customer and commercial officer Paul Loo said: “The Deck builds on the formula that has made our other new lounges around the world so popular with our customers.
“Investing in experiences that our customers value and consider important is at the heart of our product and service philosophy, and helps us differentiate ourselves from any other airline. We look forward to welcoming the lounge’s first passengers.”
Equipped with designer furniture and lighting, the 823m² lounge has been designed as a relaxing environment to improve the overall passenger experience. It has a total capacity of 180 passengers.
The Deck also features a relaxation room, eight shower suites, washroom facilities and comfortable seating throughout.
The L-shaped lounge also features an open-area veranda, known as The Terrace, that offers views of the airport’s apron, taxiways and northern runway.
Other amenities include the Noodle Bar restaurant.
Cathay Pacific’s lounges at Hong Kong International Airport include The Bridge and The Pier Business. First Class lounges include The Wing Business and The Arrival.
On 30 April, Cathay will close its current lounge called The Cabin, located near gate 23 of the airport.
