Bombardier has delivered the first of three Global 6000 business jets, which are intended for use by Germany’s Luftwaffe air force.

The Global 6000 aircraft are powered by Rolls-Royce BR710 engines, which are developed and manufactured by Rolls-Royce Deutschland in Dahlewitz, Germany.

The aircraft is designed for non-stop flights between continents.

The Global 6000’s Vision flight deck features a head-up display, offering both Enhanced and Synthetic Vision for a better pilot experience.

The German air force will use these jets for political and parliamentary transport requirements.

Bombardier Aviation president David Coleal said: “Bombardier is incredibly pleased that the Luftwaffe will add the Global 6000 aircraft to its fleet.

Luftwaffe has been a longtime operator of Bombardier aircraft.

The delivery of the Global 6000 aircraft is expected to reinforce the ties between Bombardier and Germany. Bombardier is a leading provider of business jets for the country.

In July, Bombardier secured an order for Global 5500 aircraft in a $46m transaction. The planes will be operated from the US West Coast.

Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Bombardier has more than 68,000 employees, and production and engineering sites in 28 countries.

It has a broad portfolio of products and services for the business and commercial aviation, as well as rail transportation markets.
