ARINC Incorporated today announced that its AviNet Airport network service is being used by airlines and airport operators in over 100 airports around the world.

AviNet Airport provides wide-area-network services to connect mission-critical airline departure control systems to airport-based passenger processing systems, including dedicated and common-use terminal equipment and self-service check-in systems. With AviNet, a single network connection supports both common-use and back-office settings, regardless of protocol requirements, which allows airports to eliminate the cost associated with multiple, dedicated connections.

"AviNet Airport deployment is continually expanding and includes strategic airports in the European, Middle East, Asian Pacific and American regions," said Alexis Hickox, senior director, aviation solutions ARINC EMEA. "We believe that the speedy and seamless implementation process for AviNet Airport has been the key to its extensive industry acceptance."
