From 24 to 26 June 2012, Lufthansa Consulting will take part in the Routes CIS event in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Delegates from the company’s dedicated CIS team will be delighted to welcome visitors to its exhibition, which is located at stand no.10 at the entrance of the meeting hall.

The aviation experts will present its rent-a-plan service, a solution to help small and medium-sized airlines plan fleets and networks, with the benefit of speed and reliability of planning and scheduling, without causing additional overhead costs.

The service provides comprehensive support, data and expertise, tailored to each individual airline. It was first introduced with Estonian Air, which has been using the approach successfully since October 2011. Specialists from Lufthansa Consulting’s airport team will highlight cost-cutting models and air service development strategies, which make airports attractive to new potential buyers or investors.

Recent airport projects of the consultancy in the CIS region have included the start-up support for the new cargo terminal at Vladivostok International Airport, a master plan concept for Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan and an air service development strategy for Yemelyanovo International Airport in Krasnoyarsk.

Furthermore, Lufthansa Consulting recently worked for the aircraft manufacturer IRKUT Corporation, supporting the company’s efforts to market aircraft products efficiently. The aviation consultants are also assisting Russia’s leading airline company Aeroflot to upgrade the carrier’s operational excellence.

Lufthansa Consulting’s participation in the Routes CIS forum underpins the company’s continuing engagement in the region. Market developments and requirements increase the demand for consulting services from airlines, airports and related organisations.
