AvLogix Solutions is proud to be supporting the design of Perth Airport’s new terminal precinct as Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) Consultant, working in collaboration with lead designers Woods Bagot. This significant infrastructure program marks a major milestone in the long-term vision to consolidate all commercial air services into a single, world-class terminal on the airport’s eastern side.
With planning approval now secured, the New Terminal project will enable the relocation of Qantas Group domestic and international services to the airport’s eastern precinct, alongside other airline operations. The development is a key step in Perth Airport’s strategy to modernise and consolidate its terminal infrastructure, creating a seamless experience for passengers and operational stakeholders.
AvLogix Solutions is contributing its specialist knowledge in baggage systems planning, design, integration and optimisation, helping to shape a future-ready terminal that delivers efficiency, resilience and long-term flexibility. Our role includes:
- Strategic planning for inbound and outbound baggage handling
- Integration of BHS within terminal and apron layouts
- Stakeholder coordination with airlines and operational teams
- Technology strategy and capacity modelling
- Design interface and phasing review
“It’s a privilege to support Woods Bagot and Perth Airport on a project of this scale and strategic importance,” said AvLogix Solutions projects director Mike Payne “Our focus is on ensuring the baggage systems are operationally robust from day one and scalable to support Perth’s long-term growth as an international aviation hub.”
With construction expected to commence in 2026, the New Terminal will support anticipated growth across domestic and international markets, deliver operational efficiencies for airlines and improving connections for passengers across the network.
