Jotron AS designs and manufactures high quality communication products and systems for land, sea and air applications. Jotron’s VHF and UHF radios are installed at 500 airports, in more than 150 countries. The company has entered into a contract with the Norwegian company Avinor AS. The signed framework agreement includes supply of Jotron’s transmitters, receivers and transceivers, and equipment for remote control and monitoring.

Avinor AS is responsible for planning, developing and operating the Norwegian airport network. The company operates 46 Norwegian airports, 12 of them in cooperation with the armed forces. Operations also include air traffic control towers, control centres and technical infrastructure for aircraft navigation. Jotron will supply all Avinor’s VHF/AM radios to the 46 airports throughout Norway.

Jotron AS has been a manufacturer of VHF AM and UHF AM radios since 1974. More than 2,500 Jotron radios are in operation at Norwegian airports and the company has supplied radios to Avinor for decades. This long-term business relationship is of great value to Jotron.

Jotron ATC and coastal communication division director Morten Gjersoe said: "Safety has the highest priority at Avinor, and the company is responsible for maintaining the correct security level at all airports. We are therefore extremely pleased with the trust Avinor has shown in Jotron and our technology. We are sure that our good cooperation will continue in the future."
