UK air navigation service provider (ANSP) NATS has secured a contract to provide air traffic and engineering services to TAG London Farnborough Airport over the next ten years.

Slated to come into effect from 1 January 2018, the deal will see NATS providing engineering services under a new strategic partnership agreement.

NATS has been providing services to TAG Farnborough Airport since 1943.

TAG Farnborough Airport operations director Roger Walker said: “Our long relationship with NATS has been a successful one which has served the aviation community for more than 70 years.

“I am delighted that this is set to continue into the future as we focus on delivering excellence to our customers.”

Under the terms of the agreement, NATS air traffic controllers will work in the tower at TAG Farnborough Airport until at least 2028.

NATS airports director Mike Stoller said: “This is great news and a result of our track record of excellent service, which has been achieved by our whole team working closely with the airport and delivering on a consistent basis.

With approximately 24,000 annual movements, TAG Farnborough is a major aviation airport operating in the UK.
