US-based Mesa Logistics Group (MLG) has announced that it is continuing the work on the expansion project at Salt Lake City International Airport in Utah, US amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, the company stated that it faced difficulties as a result of the closure of ports to limit the spread of Covid-19.

MLG stated that it was focussed on receiving, warehousing, delivering, and installation of security check-point equipment from the Transportation and Security Administration (TSA).

The project management team of MLG partnered with its sister company Mesa Moving and Storage – Salt Lake City to satisfy the needs to complete the work from Synergy Airport Logistics and the airport expansion project.

To receive the many crates using overseas containers and truckloads, MLG applied and received clearance from TSA for the Mesa delivery drivers.

As the cargo has to arrive from different locations, there has been a delay at the port, which prompted the company to make changes to the logistics process and delivery schedule.

MLG president Jeff Brown said: “Although the Salt Lake City International Airport expansion has been challenging due to many factors, by keeping the lines of communication open, being transparent with all stakeholders, and finding creative solutions, the project has been a success.”
