Leidos has secured a follow-on contract from the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to maintain equipment used to carry out checkpoint screening operations.
With all options exercised, the five-year contract could value as much as $926m.

The single-award fixed unit price contract has a four-month base period of performance, as well as four one-year options and one eight-month option.
Under the contract, Leidos will aid the upkeep of TSA-operated and owned transportation security equipment.
This amounts to around 10,000 passenger screening equipment in 450 airports and other government facilities in the US.
The company will offer preventative, corrective and depot maintenance services and integrated logistics support.

Leidos Homeland Security Solutions senior vice-president Scott Gray said: “For more than 15 years, we’ve provided the right people and solutions to help enable TSA’s mission to ensure the freedom of movement for people and commerce.
“We’re honoured to continue providing critical logistics support for a programme of national importance that helps secure the homeland and protects our nation’s transportation infrastructure.”
Last April, Leidos secured a $117m task order from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to develop the seventh-generation geostationary earth orbit (GEO) satellite.
In May 2017, Leidos secured a prime contract from the TSA to continue delivering hazardous materials (HAZMAT) management and disposal services at more than 440 airport screening checkpoints.
