Jacobs Engineering Group has signed an agreement to deliver construction, maintenance and refurbishment work for buildings and infrastructure at East Midlands Airport in the UK.

Works under the agreement signed with Manchester Airport Group (MAG) will include ongoing expansion projects to increase the airport’s capacity.

Jacobs will be responsible for project management, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for the airport’s buildings, as well as associated infrastructure.

The initial framework agreement with MAG is set to run until 2020, with an option to extend it to 2025.

The company owns and operates Manchester, London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports.

MAG Procurement and Contracting, Capital and Asset Management head Rob Williams said: “The framework agreements for building, civil and M&E works provide a platform for us to work with a small number of high-quality, efficient contractors, managing and executing a wide range of projects that include construction, refurbishment, maintenance and infrastructure works at our airports.”
