Saab Sensis to provide ATM sensor system to Kyrgyz Republic
Saab Sensis Wide Area Multilateration has secured a contract from the US Air Force Electronic System Center to provide an air traffic control sensor solution that will modernise air traffic management systems in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Saab Sensis Wide Area Multilateration has secured a contract from the US Air Force Electronic System Center to provide an air traffic control sensor solution that will modernise air traffic management systems in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The system uses non-rotating sensors to triangulate aircraft locations based on transponder signals.
The new system will provide air traffic controllers information about the exact positions of aircraft and their identification, regardless of weather conditions.
The programme will be implemented through the US Foreign Military Sales programme.
