General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has secured an $8.2m contract by the US Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to integrate airport screening equipment using open architecture solutions.

Awarded under a five-year single-source blanket purchase agreement, the new task order is part of TSA’s security technology integration programme (STIP).

The new order will help TSA in achieving its STIP goals of enhancing security, resource management as well as overall operational effectiveness.

General Dynamics will deliver complete lifecycle software development, maintenance and integration support to TSA and manufacturers of transportation security equipment.
