Airbus has agreed to supply up to 24 A321neo aircraft to FLC Group, a construction company based in Vietnam, for approximately $3bn.

The new aircraft will be operating with Bamboo Airways, a start-up airline of FLC Group.

The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between 2022 and 2025.

Rolls-Royce has awarded a contract worth Rs2bn ($30m) to Godrej Aerospace for the construction of 600 different parts required for aero engines.

The parts to be built under the five-year contract include external brackets, unison rings and other complex parts. The components will be used in the development of civil aerospace engines of Rolls-Royce.

Rolls-Royce will further invest Rs500m ($7m) in the construction of a Centre of Excellence in Mumbai. The new unit will focus on enhancing the capabilities of aero engines manufacturing.

Vietnam Airlines has awarded an aircraft maintenance services contract to Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

AFM KLM E&M will be responsible for the maintenance of GEnx engines on-board the Boeing 787 aircraft of Vietnam Airlines for a period of 12 years.

Vietnam Airlines will also gain access to AFI KLM E&M spare engines.

Space-Communication (Spacecom) has preferred Space Systems / Loral (SSL) to build the highly advanced AMOS-8 communications satellite.

Based on SSL 1300 platform, the communication satellite will provide broadband, direct-to-home (DTH) and internet services across Europe, Africa and the Middle East for more than 15 years.

AMOS-8 will be launched into space next to the SpaceX rocket in 2020.

Airborne Aerospace has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands to supply up to 48 substrate panels for solar arrays of new Galileo FOC satellites.

The solar arrays will be installed on 12 Galileo FOC satellites, which are scheduled to be launched between 2020 and 2023.
