Airbus communications director for Asia Sean Lee was quoted by Dow Jones Newswires as saying that the show was coming right at the start of the year and no large orders were expected.

The Asia Pacific region, however, is experiencing a return to growth and is expected to be a lucrative market.

The air show will continue until 7 February 2010.
