Stansted Airport in London has installed a 39ft NanoLumens large scale visualisation system that displays advertisements, flight information and airport updates.

The system has been installed by advertising agency Eye Airports as part of £8m project Redefining Airports.

The project aims at enhancing digital opportunities for advertisers at UK airports, including Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted, Bristol and Newcastle.

Stansted Airport has become the first in the UK to feature a curved screen passenger-engagement system.

A second NanoLumens screen will be installed at the airport soon.

Claimed to be one of the fastest growing airports in the UK, Stansted handles nearly 20 million passengers annually and the installation of the NanoLumens expected to help the airport improve its passenger experience.

The Stansted Airport is currently investing around £260m in expansion, including £80m for terminal upgrade slated to be completed later this year.
