General Dynamics will modernise the ground segment to sustain high-quality services, meet stakeholder requirements, and reduce the required operations and maintenance resources.
Work includes replacing obsolete systems, and creating a more flexible and expandable architecture to integrate Nasa’s space communications and navigation networks.
The upgrade will also allow the implementation of new methods and capabilities for using the TDRS to support space network user spacecraft.
