Bombardier Aerospace is planning to build aft fuselages for its new Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets at its site in Queretaro, Mexico.

The new facility currently produces the Learjet 85 aircraft’s major composite structures including fuselage lay-up and subsystem installation, wiring harness fabrication and installation, wing assembly, and horizontal and vertical stabiliser assemblies.

The ten-seat Global 7000 aircraft will feature a spacious four-zone cabin and is scheduled to enter service by 2016, with the Global 8000 aircraft to follow in 2017.

The Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets’ final assembly will take place at Bombardier’s manufacturing site in Toronto, Ontario, Canada..
