The new simulators are expected to control the airline’s costs, maximise its training schedule and improve safety by providing crews with realistic training scenarios.

US Airways recently purchased a new A320 full-flight simulator, which is undergoing FAA certification, from CAE for its Charlotte training facility, and the simulator is expected to be in service by early 2012.
