"The simulation system will provide aerodrome control training, while the ICE stations will assist wth aviation phraseology proficiency and communication procedures."

The Adacel systems will be incorporated into the St Maarten Civil Aviation Authority’s air traffic control (ATC) training programme, and provide tools for air traffic controllers, who require new skills to meet the highest international standards.

St. Maarten joins Curacao and Trinidad in the Caribbean in a bid to improve controller training capabilities using the Adacel ATC simulation systems.

The simulators have been proven to enhance proficiency and speed up the learning process of ATC controllers during their course of study, as well as operational training.

The systems provide realistic, hands-on lessons to ATC students across a range of topics, ranging from the basics of phraseology and communications through to advanced skills.
