Stellar Aviation Group has acquired Horizon Aviation, which is based at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport (KSPI) in Sangamon County, Illinois, US.

Horizon Aviation functions as the major fixed-base operator (FBO) service provider at the KSPI civil-military public airport.

Stellar Aviation Group president Jonathan Miller said: “This new location is the strategic cornerstone for our growing FBO network as we look to expand further throughout the important Midwestern region.

Abraham Lincoln Airport, which offers airline services and military support, hosts a growing general aviation (GA) and corporate aircraft community.

With an aim to accommodate Stellar Aviation Group, the Abraham Lincoln airport is undergoing several GA terminal and hangar redevelopment projects.

The infrastructure of Springfield will be noticeably increased in order to handle the rising number of visitors and business groups.

The Stellar Aviation Group is a network of FBOs, which operates in the Palm Beach County Park Airport in South Palm Beach, Florida, New Castle County Airport in Wilmington, Delaware and the KSPI.
