The 17th to the 19th of March 2009 sees the return of ATC Global, the world's leading air navigation services exhibition and conference, where close to 5,000 attendees from over 90 countries are expected to attend. Held successfully for 17 years in Maastricht, the move in 2008 to the RAI Congress Centre in Amsterdam was an outstanding success, with a 15% increase in total attendance, a larger exhibition, prestigious industry awards and networking evenings plus a greater range of free educational features, including a three-day seminar programme and workshops. Running alongside the exhibition is the two-day conference that has established itself as the indispensible conference on every CEO's calendar, with a stellar group of speakers driving debates at the forefront of air traffic management. The 2008 agenda “Performance-based Global ATM” is now available as an on-demand webcast on the ATC Global website. 2009 free ATM / AIS exhibition The exhibition brings together the suppliers, key buyers and users of air traffic control and air traffic management products and services. Here it will be able to better cater for the growing audience of airlines, airports and airport authorities, air-navigation service providers, civil aviation authorities, regulators and military representatives, as well as accommodating the increasing demand from suppliers for exhibition space – more than 91% of stand space is already booked. The potential to expand business contacts and meet face-to-face with industry colleagues, customers and suppliers at ATC Global is immense. Event registration will open at the end of October 2008. Attending as a visitor is free and provides a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of trends and developments in ATM and AIS. Visitors can take part in live product demonstrations, and source, compare and contrast products and services from more than 200 key suppliers. ATM and AIS equipment on display Products and services include ATC towers, mobile control towers, AIS, software, airfield operations equipment, avionics, consoles, consultancy, displays, headsets, meteorological systems and equipment, navigation aids, publishing, surveillance systems (including radar), research and development, surface movement guidance systems, training courses and equipment, and communication (voice, data, telephone systems and voice switching) equipment. 2009 exhibitors A selection of 2009 exhibitors includes Thales, NATS, Indra, Lockheed Martin, Airservices UK, Airservices Australia, Korea Airports Association, EADS Defence & Security, Airways International, CS Communications & Systems, Raytheon, Era, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, SELEX Sistemi Integrati, Sensis, AENA Avitech, Barco, Deutsche Flugsicherung, Eurasia, Weather Decision Technologies, ASC Signal Corporation, Boeing, Biofly, ENAV, General Digital Corporation, Honeywell International, IATA, CANSO, EUROCONTROL and Munich Airport International. 2009 conference issues - rising fuel costs, falling passenger numbers and growing environmental criticism This year, the conference once again has its finger on the pulse, with a range of debates focusing on the turbulent times facing world aviation. Key concerns are rising fuel costs, falling passenger numbers and growing environmental criticism, while others see an acute lack of capacity, continued rapid growth, and an urgent need for new infrastructure. Speakers will include leaders from CANSO, EUROCONTROL, the European Commission, FAA, IATA, and many others at the cutting edge of ATM. The focus will be on finding the key solutions to these challenges. If it's happening in the world of ATM, it's happening at ATC Global 2009. Industry support The event has the full backing and support of a range of influential industry organisations, such as CANSO and EUROCONTROL, and is able to reflect the requirements of all industry sectors at both a European and global level. What our visitors say "What a good idea to move to Amsterdam – the venue and location are great, making it easier to travel to.
