Passengers will be required to make an appointment and show documentation of their upcoming flight to avail the services.

A PCR test will provide results within 24 hours while a rapid test will take roughly 30 minutes.

All the positive test results will be sent to the Florida Department of Health, but not to the carriers.

Travellers who test positive will be required to inform their respective airlines.

In a separate development, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and Aeroterm have entered into a ground lease to develop a multitenant cargo centre at the airport over the next three years.

The new building will offer a suitable access point for cargo firms to reach all areas in Northern New England, the Greater Boston Area and northern Massachusetts.

In addition, San Diego International Airport (SAN) has announced that its Innovation Lab has launched its fifth accelerator programme, which will focus on health and safety at airports.

Around six companies have been welcomed into the programme to test their solutions that improve the touchless journey or develop queue management.
