Thales has entered a cooperation agreement with Savis and Bradar, under which the companies will analyse business opportunities related to air traffic control radar solutions in both civil and military markets worldwide.

Savis and Bradar are affiliated companies to Embraer Defense & Security.

Embraer Defense & Security president and CEO Jackson Schneider said: “This initiative will allow us to take advantage of existing synergies and complementarities in terms of products and technologies, with a view to developing joint solutions to meet the current and future demands of the Brazilian and international markets, specifically in the area of radar solutions for air traffic control.”

Thales Latin America vice-president Ruben Lazo said that collaboration among the companies supports its commitment to continue developing and generating high technology in Brazil for the global market.

Under the terms of the deal, Savis and Bradar, in collaboration with Thales and its industrial arm in Brazil Omnisys, will work together to design new air traffic control radar solutions with existing portfolio synergies for both domestic and international markets.
