The systems integrate high-resolution, multi or dual-view imaging, and are equipped with sophisticated software that can automatically identify explosives in carry-on baggage.

To facilitate additional passenger screening, the company will implement mm-wave eqo scanners, which can detect items of any material under clothing.

Deployed at passenger checkpoints and in hold baggage screening, the newly-launched IONSCAN 600 helps spot and identify explosives from traces found on luggage or clothing.

The scope of the contract also includes the installation of HI-SCAN 100100T-2is and HI-SCAN 145180-2is X-ray machines, which can be used to screen oversized luggage and cargo in order to detect explosives and other threats.

CIP-300 and HCVP Z60 car inspection X-ray portals will be provided for vehicle and cargo screening, while the mobile HCVMe35 will be supplied to inspect loaded trucks and containers at airport entrances.

Delivery of the advanced threat detection equipment by Smiths Detection is scheduled to be completed by this month.
