Geneva-based air transport communications provider SITA has been selected to launch a new communication solution across Kenya Airways’ global network, in a bid to support the airline’s renewed focus on cost optimisation and modernisation.
SITA’s communication technology Connect will be used by Kenya Airways to enhance its route network management.
The airline will use SITA Connect to connect employees and sales offices to its central systems and applications, which will be used to manage reservations, check-in and boarding.
Kenya Airways group managing director and CEO Mbuvi Ngunze said: “As we seek to position Kenya Airways for the future, we needed a single communications partner that could take care of all our connectivity requirements no matter where we operate.
“SITA, with its truly global footprint and experience, provided us with a world-class solution supported by a local presence in each destination, connecting even the furthest outstation to our hub in Nairobi.”
More than 300 airports in over 100 countries are already using AirportHub, SITA’s shared connectivity platform.
