Singapore Airlines has confirmed a contract with Boeing, worth approximately $2.4bn, for eight more B777-300ER aircraft, which was first announced on 10 August 2011.
The aircraft seat between 301and 368 passengers configured in a three-class layout, will be powered by General Electric GE90 engines and offer a range of 5,240nm (9,700km) to 9,395nm (17,395km).

The 777-300ER offers fuel efficiency, spacious cabin interior, range capability and commonality.
Delivery of the aircraft will begin in 2013/14 and they will join Singapore Airlines’ existing fleet of 19 B777-300ERs.
In total, the airline has ordered 85 Boeing 777s, 27 of which are 777-300ERs.
