Garuda Indonesia Airlines has ordered four Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines to power its Airbus A330 aircraft in a deal worth $280m.

In addition the airline has confirmed a previous order for Trent 700 engines to power six A330s, and all ten aircraft will have long-term TotalCare service support.

Following the delivery, the total number of Garuda aircraft powered by Trent 700 engines will increase to 20, which will also be supported by TotalCare.

In addition, Garuda Indonesia has selected the CFM International Leap-1A to power the airline’s ten Airbus A320neo jets in a $220m deal.

The carrier presently has a fleet of 86 aircraft and plans to increase it to 154 by 2015.
