"With completion of the first phase, the company will have installed a total length of 4,500km of copper and more than 1,600km of fibre-optic cables."

"We started our work with the cabling as it is the basis for all the running infrastructure. The announcement system, fire alarms, cameras, card access systems, flight management, air traffic control (ATC) systems will run on R&M’s fire-resistant copper cables."

R&M expects to complete the integration of the cabling infrastructure at Istanbul New Airport by the first quarter of next year.

The network will help connect and support the major airport systems including its information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure for security, police, and customs.

In addition, the company has delivered its infrastructure management solution, R&MinteliPhy, which will help centralise and automate the entire cabling infrastructure at the airport.
