Dubai Airports has implemented Dassault Systèmes' Quintiq automated planning solution to help manage its fixed resources at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central.
The two airports will be able to automate the planning process for their stands, gates, baggage belts and check-in counters, enhancing overall efficiency.

Dubai Airports operations senior vice-president Frank McCrorie said: “We aim to deliver a world-class experience to the airlines that use our airports and the passengers that they carry.
“Quintiq will enable us to maximise utilisation of our current fixed resources and prepare for future expansions.”
Airport planners will have complete visibility of resource allocation from its entire range of 260 airport stands, 143 gates, 561 check-in counters and 28 baggage belts.
The resource allocation is adapted based on specific airline preferences and helps streamline passenger flows, enabling airports to handle growing traffic numbers.

By GlobalDataDubai Airports implementation partner DTP managing director Abdul Razzak Mikati said: “ The customer needed a future-ready, industry-proven solution to efficiently manage the capacity of its current airport resources.
"With Quintiq, the need for manual planning has been eliminated, resulting in enhanced flexibility and agility of operations.”
The Quintiq solution is also capable of handling calculations for 40 flights per second and use information obtained from multiple sources to enhance its automation process.
During the first quarter of 2017, Dubai International saw a 7.4% increase in traffic, while passenger traffic rose 29.5% at Dubai World Central in the same period.
