Security software company Qognify and Everbridge have partnered to integrate the former’s situation management / physical security information management (PSIM) solution, Situator, at Miami International Airport (MIA) in the US.
As part of the integration, Situator's capabilities will be combined with Everbridge’s incident management and critical communications, in a bid to disseminate situation-specific information for daily operations and emergencies.

Miami Dade County Aviation Department building systems manager Miguel Brito said: “The reason why I looked for this integration is because incident management and mass notification are two essential pieces of the security management at any large airport.
“Having the integration between these systems is crucial when dealing with emergencies such as security breaches or weather conditions.”
The operator can use the joint solution to spread status updates among relevant personnel.
Notifications will be sent to staff directly from Situator’s Quick Launch bar using predefined text and notification groups.
