Air navigation services provider NATS has signed a partnership agreement with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) to host a range of joint research and knowledge transfer activities, as well as collaborative education, placement and training programmes.

UWS representatives launched the initiative at NATS’s Prestwick air traffic control centre, which will offer valuable work experience placements to university students.

The placements will allow students to work on research and development projects that will contribute to future air navigation operations.

The UWS placement programme will offer significant opportunities for undergraduates and postgraduates in the aerospace sector.
