Liberia has imposed stringent screening measures at its only international airport in Monrovia, after reports that a Liberian national carried Ebola virus into the US.
Eric Thomas Duncan is the second Liberian citizen alleged to have exported the virus to other countries, after Patrick Sawyer, who died in Lagos, Nigeria, in July, affecting aid workers that came in contact with him.

A native of Monrovia, Duncan travelled to Dallas, US, for a family visit on 20 September and was diagnosed with the deadly virus days afterwards, killing two of his neighbours and affecting several others.
Liberia Information Minister Lewis Brown was reported by Xinhua as saying that it was unfortunate that an individual travelling from Liberia was diagnosed with Ebola after arrival in the US.
"Currently there are stringent screening measures in place at the Roberts International Airport, which we believe are preventing the disease from spreading via air travel," he said.
"As we are also discovering, it was only days after his arrival in the United States that the disease was manifested.

Duncan, who was screened for Ebola symptoms at Roberts International Airport, is currently undergoing treatment at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.
In latest development, the Libyan Government announced plans to prosecute Duncan claiming that he lied about his history of contact with the disease on an airport questionnaire.
Ebola outbreak has so far killed 3,338 in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal and Nigeria, according to the World Health Organization.
